Fairfield County Leaders Endorse Peterson for Congress

(OH-15) – State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) announced today the endorsement of community leaders and former officials in Fairfield County.

Joining State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) and retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Tom Moe, who previously announced their support for Peterson's congressional campaign, are:

  • Former Sheriff Dave Phalen

  • Former Lancaster Police Chief Dave Bailey

  • Former Lancaster Council President Bob Hedges

  • Former Lancaster School Superintendent Steve Wigton

"I admire Bob's commitment to faith and family above everything, and he's a public servant who leads with the highest integrity and ethical conduct," said former Fairfield County Sheriff Dave Phalen. "We need more people like that in our state and federal government. My law enforcement colleagues and I are also standing with Bob because he's been there for us in the state legislature, and he'll be there for our communities in Congress. He's committed to making safety and security a top priority, from our neighborhoods to our national borders."

Peterson thanked the Fairfield County leaders for their support, adding, “I appreciate the confidence of these trusted local leaders. I'll work tirelessly to give every community in this district an equal voice, and I'm especially committed to stopping Nancy Pelosi's efforts to defund our local police and weaken our national border security."
