Pickaway County Commissioner, Former State Rep. Gary Scherer Endorses Bob Peterson for Congress

(OH-15) – State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Fayette County) announced today that Pickaway County Commissioner and former State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) has endorsed him for Congress. Scherer, a longtime businessman and certified public accountant in Pickaway County, served for eight years in the Ohio House of Representatives and was recently elected to a four-year term as a Pickaway County Commissioner.

“Bob Peterson is one of the most dedicated, thoughtful, and respected individuals I have ever had the opportunity to work with,” Commissioner Scherer said. “As a farmer, businessman, andlegislator, he truly is the only person that understands the needs of every single community in thisdistrict. Like Congressman Stivers, Bob Peterson’s conservative credentials are unmatched, and I am confident he will serve us well as a member of Congress.”

Senator Peterson said he was honored to have Commissioner Scherer’s endorsement.

“I am honored that Gary will chair my campaign in Pickaway County, and I’m deeply humbled to have his endorsement,” Sen. Peterson said. “I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish together in the legislature – cutting taxes, balancing budgets, and enhancing the quality of life for every Ohioan.
