(OH-15) – State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) announced today that State Representative Mark Johnson (R-Chillicothe) has endorsed his campaign for Congress.
Johnson, who represents Fayette County and portions of Pickaway and Ross counties, currently serves as business manager for the Tri-State Building and Construction Trades Council, where he oversees 33 counties across three states and represents about 20,000 construction workers.
“Bob is a conservative, morally sound, hard-working family man that has the experience to represent us well in Washington,” said Johnson. "He’s a problem-solver and someone who knows first-hand what it’s like to grow a business and make a hard-earned living."
Johnson praised Peterson’s experience not only as a legislator and county commissioner but also as president of the Ohio Farm Bureau, where Peterson worked to advance the real-world interests of thousands of Ohio job creators and small businesses.
“We’ve got an incredible workforce here in Ohio that’s anxious to lead us out of this pandemic and get us back on the path to economic growth, and Bob is the right person to get them the tools and support they need,” Johnson added. "I’m proud to stand behind and support Bob Peterson for Congress."
Senator Peterson said he was honored to have State Representative Johnson’s endorsement.
“Mark has been a great partner in the legislature, and I’m incredibly grateful to have his support for our congressional bid,” Peterson said. “He works tirelessly not only for his constituents but also for thousands of workers on the front lines of our economic recovery, and I look forward to relying on his continued advice and experience throughout this campaign.”
